Refried beans

Whether or not you celebrate Cinco de Mayo, it’s a fantastic day to remember and honor our Hispanic roots! ​

Here’s a quick and easy refried beans recipe for your tacos!​

INGREDIENTS​
2 cans of Conchita Pinto Beans, rinsed and drained​
1 tablespoon of Conchita Extra-Virgin Olive Oil​
2/3 cup finely chopped onion ​
¼ teaspoon fine sea salt​
2 smashed garlic cloves​
½ teaspoon chili powder​
1 teaspoon cumin​
½ tablespoon of Conchita All-Purpose Sazón​
½ cup water​
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro​
1 tablespoon of Conchita Lemon Blend Juice​
White flour fajitas​

INSTRUCTIONS​
1. Heat Conchita Extra-Virgin Olive Oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the minced garlic and onion, stirring occasionally for 6 minutes.​
2. Add in the Conchita Pinto Beans (drained), Conchita All-Purpose Sazón, chili powder, cumin and water. Stir, cover and cook for 5 minutes.​
3. Smash bean mixture with a potato masher or blender. ​
4. Add Conchita Lemon Blend Juice on smashed beans and stir.​
5. Move mix into a clean bowl and stir in the cilantro, add more salt and lime juice if necessary. ​
5. Heat up your fajitas on a skillet, add your favorite ingredients and finish it off with our delicious refried beans mix!​
6. Cover until you’re ready to serve.​
