TROPICAL FRUITS

 

Probably what we are best known for, the Conchita line of tropical fruits encompasses a broad spectrum of different fruits from all corners of the globe. Among these are Guava, Papaya, and Coconut. We currently import fruits from Brazil, Thailand, and Peru.

 

Guavas are very tasty fruits, and are very high in vitamin C. We offer Guava Shells in Heavy Syrup (16 oz. and 34 oz. cans and 14 oz. jars), Guava Marmalade (16 oz. and 34 oz.), and our famous Guava Paste (22 oz. cans and 17 oz. brick).

 

Green Papaya Chunks are also very nutritious and tasty, and come packed in heavy syrup, as do the Orange Shells, which are made from bitter oranges. They both come in a 16 oz. and 34 oz. cans, as well as the 14 oz. jar. For our customers who enjoy papaya with a Puerto Rican flavor, we offer the Green Papaya Slices with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla in the syrup.

 

A longtime favorite, mangoes have recently gained nationwide awareness, and are now a key ingredient in many dishes prepared by elite chefs from around the world. We offer Mango Slices and Mango Marmalade in a 15 oz. can. Additionally, we offer Tomato Preserve in an 16 oz. can.

 

Coconuts have long been used in a variety of dishes and recipes. We offer our Grated Coconut in Heavy Syrup in a 17 oz. and 32 1/2 oz. cans. They can be used as a topping for flan or ice cream, or enjoyed with a piece of cheese. Our Coconut Milk is of the highest quality available. It is used in many Caribbean and Asian dishes, and comes in a 14 oz. can.

 

Peach Halves and Pear Halves are the traditional fruits served in very light syrup, and usually enjoyed as a very light dessert after a meal. They come in 30 oz. cans. The Mandarin Oranges, which come in an 11 oz. can, can be added to a salad, used in a cake or pie topping, or to garnish a meal. A staple of kitchens everywhere, our fruit cocktail is a mouth nattering blend of peaches, pineapples, pears, guavas and cherries that can be enjoyed as a standalone food or as an ingredient in your favorite desert. Another popular item, our prunes in syrup is an excellent source of energy as well as an aid for digestive regularity.

 

Our Guava Preserve makes an excellent topping for your favorite bread, cracker, or muffin. It gives a new twist to the old fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It is available in 10 oz. jars.
